What does a normal day look like for you?

I am an early bird I love to wake up and take a shower and drop the kid to school. My day can be from working from home or be a full time mom depends on how I schedule my time to balance my work and being present in the life of my son. I freelance Graphic Design and Photography, that works pretty nice for me. So my basic routine would be going to the grocery store, morning rituals, good strong coffee or tea time meditation before I start my day. Listening to Jazz music in the afternoon, taking care of the plants and sometimes paint or we like to watch movies. It gets sometimes more active depends on what time of year it is.

Please tell us of your travels, what are some of your favorite places to visit and what it is you love about them?

La Baja, is a wonderful place to discover. Balandra Beach is one of the best places in México and certainly my favourite place, it has sentimental meaning where my Son grew up and we had wonderful times together, there is a small magical town on the way named Todos Santos where you can stay at Hotel California where you can have brunch or sometimes there are exhibitions in the Emporio Shop. Other places I have traveled in México is a place I like the most is San Miguel de Allende I love it, the weather, the people, very magical. There is another magical town I visit call Taxco it is beyond beautiful and you get to see the craftsmanship working silver jewellery is amazing how they show you the process.

How do you like to chill out and relax, do you have any rituals?

Yes, morning rituals include having tea, also making a good delightful coffee I believe is the most pleasant thing in the world and to show love in a mug; meditation, reading, art walks and most of all sleep when is possible.

What are some of your favourite things you have collected over the years? Do you have any rules when collecting new pieces?

To be honest I have been a collector of so many things in my life, at this stage I would say teapots and vintage cameras. But since I started to have a minimalist perspective of way of life I’ve stopped doing it, because I don't need more things. If I had extra money on my pocket I will definitely continue to collect so many more shoes!

When beginning a new design project what is your process?

First of all a meeting with the client, listen their needs and receive a brief introduction of what the project is about. Most of the projects that I have been working on are branding related.

The creative process goes from brainstorming, design three options and go from there to work deeper and have a final result.

I used to develop handcrafted pieces in the past as lamps and last year notebooks as an alternative project when the low season comes. Photography and writing when I don't have to freelance, always finding a creative way to be feeding that part.

What music are you listening to at the moment?

I love experimental music such as Emiliana Torrini and Emilie Simon. Also Hidden Orquestra, Jazzatronica, Interpol and Soulwax are my balance.

Who are your favourite artists?

Es Devlin, Trine Søndergaard,  Studio Forma Fantasma, Michel Gondry… I can go on, just to mention some.

If you could collaborate with someone, (can be international or from another time period) who would it be and why?

That’s a very interesting question, I would like to collaborate with Peca Studio, because we have common interest and vision with handcrafted objects plus Graphic Design. Most of all to get involved with the people and her beautiful atelier.
